This queen of Atlanta rap has her foot on the neck of the industry and she is not letting up!
Atlanta has birthed some of the most diverse, eclectic, and varied rappers and singers of all time; Artists like Future, OutKast & The dungeon family, sleepy brown, young Thug, Lil Baby, The Migos just to name a few.
Amongst all of these kings and gods of the game, a queen has risen and her name is QNOVA.
QNOVA, born Quachavious Ellison, is not only one of the hottest female rappers in Atlanta but also in 2020 graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor in arts sociology from Ashford University in their college of arts and sciences.
She has since turned that knowledge into a blossoming career in music.
With her manager Ms. Nisha and her Producer PatRunBeatz in her corner she has cultivated a long list of accomplishments as an independent artist. From being prominently featured in HIPHOPWEEKLY magazine, being interviewed on the “Dirty Glove Bastard” platform, performing at the Atlanta Hawks halftime show at The Gateway Center Arena, and performing for a packed crowd at Atlanta Hip-Hop Day.
Her hard work has not gone unnoticed as two of Atlanta’s Syndicated radio stations, HOT 107.9 & STREETZ 94.5, have put her music on rotation and even given it glowing reviews as well as multiple FM stations around the world. You would think with a track record like that she would be resting on her laurels but no; she is intent on breaking through the glass ceiling this year and putting her name amongst the greats of Atlanta Hip Hop/R&B and the way she applying pressure it’s not a matter of if she will succeed it’s a matter of when.
QNOVA’s single “Check Up”, which released in March of 2019, has held strong as a mainstay in the Atlanta music scene and was even hand-picked to be on a compilation project headed up by the legendary Snoop Dogg.
The track features a banger of a beat created by PatRunBeatz and the moment you hear those words, “Ima get the bag and ima run it up/ima get the check and ima cash it out” you know for the next 3 minutes and 27 seconds you are about to be rocking from start to finish. She is steadily growing her fanbase with each passing day and I for one can’t wait to see what this year holds for her.
