This is what 90’s New York rap would sound like in 2022 and we LOVE IT!

The big dog from Buffalo is back again with another banger and this time he has enlisted the help of fellow spitta Ben Streetz for their banger of a track “The TakeDown”. From the beginning of the first hook you know exactly what your getting, Hard lines about the streets, some dope bar flips, and of course, that nostalgic old-school 90’s New York flow that has been coming back into the mainstream due to the rise of Griselda. “TBA” made sure to let every listener know that he is unmatched on the mic as his hook and the first verse has all the bravado and confidence of a true kingpin in the streets; all the while balancing that with the dark side of the streets sprinkling in his own life experiences to give a more personal effect on the listener. You can feel the joy and pain in each bar as he raps this not from some paper or phone but his soul. It would be hard for most artists to follow up with a verse after TBA’s performance but Ben Streetz def was the best choice! His flow is reminiscent of a young Big Pun from his cadence to delivery and it’s a welcome addition to TBA’s more traditional sounding New York flow. Been wastes no time taking the baton and big stepping to the finish line with bar after bar of OG speak. This duo is a masterclass in how to make a catchy track AND still actually rap with some sense. Simply put these two gave us Grown Man Bars and that’s something we gotta deal with.
